The Lehigh Valley Elite Network is proud to welcome Mayor Lance E. Colondo of the Borough of Nazareth as a special guest presenter for our August 27 Business Networking Event.
Mayor Colondo was recently sworn in for his third four-year term as Mayor of Nazareth, continuing his service to the community he calls home. Following his re-election, Colondo expressed gratitude to Nazareth residents for placing their confidence in him for another term.
Leadership Through Listening
Looking back on his years as mayor, Colondo has said that serving in office has taught him patience and the importance of listening. As he explained when discussing his approach to residents: “No problem or issue a resident has is unimportant.”
Among the accomplishments Colondo has highlighted from his previous terms are efforts to improve communication between borough government and residents. That includes providing answers about borough matters, promoting community events and helping direct residents to appropriate resources when issues arise.
Public safety has also been an important part of his tenure. Colondo has pointed to the Nazareth Police Department's accreditation in 2022 and re-accreditation in 2025, along with the borough's use of the Everbridge-Nixle system to communicate emergencies, street closures, lost pets and other timely information to residents. Pennsylvania accreditation records also document Mayor Colondo's participation with the Nazareth Police Department during the 2025 accreditation process.
Looking Toward Nazareth's Future
Mayor Colondo describes his motivation for continuing in public service in very personal terms. “Nazareth is a beautiful town with a rich history,” he said after his re-election. “When I walk around the borough and see how beautiful it is, that is my motivation.”
As he begins his third term, Colondo has identified continued service to Nazareth residents and business owners among his priorities.
He has also discussed working with the downtown manager and other local leaders to promote Nazareth's historical heritage and continue developing the borough as a destination for visitors from around the country.
Colondo has also acknowledged challenges facing Nazareth, including increasing costs for goods and services, repairs to borough-owned property and vehicles, and expenses associated with the mandated MS4 stormwater program.
Serving Nazareth
Mayor Colondo's public responsibilities extend throughout borough government and community life. At Nazareth Borough Council's January 2026 reorganization meeting, he administered oaths of office to members of Borough Council, the chief of police, new police sergeants, the tax collector, fire department leadership and special fire police officers.
Borough records also document his ongoing participation in municipal affairs and community events, including presenting police reports and promoting activities taking place throughout Nazareth.
35 Years in Financial Services
In addition to his public service, Lance Colondo has spent 35 years in the financial-services industry, specializing in Personal and Business Banking and Home Equity/Mortgage Lending.
He describes his professional role as helping current and prospective customers find ways to achieve and manage their financial dreams.
His approach goes beyond simply providing a product or service. He emphasizes listening to and understanding each customer's unique circumstances and then identifying practical, individualized solutions.
Whether someone is buying a home, growing a business or seeking greater financial peace of mind, his stated objective is helping customers find solutions appropriate to their individual goals.
